I’m only a few chapters in, but the section on varietals already changed how I pick beans at the market. The way they break down growing conditions is thorough without getting dry, and the brewing guides are practical enough to try the next morning.
Brewing through this felt like stepping into the roastery itself—the way they break down each stage, from cherry to cup, is surprisingly readable for such a deep topic. I've already tweaked my pour-over routine based on the brewing section alone, and the difference is night and day.
The sections on growing and varietals really opened my eyes—I had no idea how much the origin story shapes the cup. I've read through it twice already, and the brewing walkthroughs are clear enough that even my morning pour-over feels more deliberate now.
